Greg Rowe woke early one morning.  He quickly realized the house was quiet and he could be the sole photographer to capture this amazing sunrise. Without the help from Photoshop, he was able to win the contest... while the rest of us, cozy in our beds, dreamed of what the day would hold.

Poulterer/Rowe Colorado Photo Contest

Hi everyone! Welcome to our family trip to Breckenridge. We’ve been planning this photo contest for a long time and wanted to invite all of you to be the judges. Pick one photo from each category (landscape, portrait, macro, wildlife/nature, and digitally enhanced) and let us know in the comment section what you’ve voted for.

We decided that we would create a separate category for digitally enhanced photo.  We figured if we allowed digitally enhancing of all photos we might be spending more time fixing up photos and less time enjoying the scenery from which they came.  Therefore all of the other photos are directly unchanged (except for possible cropping) from the camera.

This category was the most recently added to the contest.  Hard to believe it wasn't thought of until we arrived and began to notice all the animals that surrounded us daily.  We found ourselves frequently texting between cars or shouting down trails about the latest creatures we had discovered.

Macro

As much as the awesome views have been inspiring, the smallest details have caught our eyes and inspired us as well.  From the largest to the smallest, God's creation is completely overwhelming.
